Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

The week before winter break brings the holiday hustle and bustle home to our South Side family.  Our first and third graders performed recently in our winter music program for an audience of nearly 300 friends and family members!  The South Side PTO gave us the wonderful gift of a new tree for Compass Hall, and all students grades Pre-K-6 participated in decorating that tree with personalized hand-crafted ornaments.  Our National Elementary Honor Society and our new South Side Student Council both spent an evening giving back to our community by ringing the Salvation Army bell.  And this year, our staff adopted a Christmas family from our local Christmas Bureau and Kendallville Chamber of Commerce to help spread the spirit of the season.  We wish all of our students and families the merriest of holiday seasons.  Enjoy your time together over the break, and we will welcome everyone back to start a brand new year in 2015!
